About the Hobart-Proctor Transit Authority

The Hobart-Proctor Transit Authority was established in 1974 through a memorandum of understanding between the Proctor County Board of Commissioners and the Village Council of Hobart. The authority was created to provide public transportation to residents of Proctor County who lacked access to private transportation.

The authority operates one fixed route within the Village of Hobart and a county-wide demand-response service. Both programs are provided free of charge to Proctor County residents. The formal legal name of the authority is the Proctor County-Village of Hobart Transit Authority.

The Hobart-Proctor Transit Authority is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees and operates under oversight from both the Proctor County Board of Commissioners and the Hobart Village Council.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees meets on the second Tuesday of each month at Village Hall.
